About Us

A Family Lot, Run the Way We'd Want to Be Treated

Cascade Auto Group opened in 2008 when our founder, Dean Whitford, walked away from a corner-office sales job at a dealer chain because he was tired of how the business treated people. The pressure rooms, the rate markups, the $899 doc fees — none of it had to be that way.

We built Cascade on the opposite premise: list every car at a fair price, inspect it as if our own kids were going to drive it, and let people make the call without a salesperson in their ear. That is still how we run, sixteen years later.

Buying a car shouldn't require a decoder ring. Here are the answers we wish more dealers gave.

What does "inspected" actually mean?

Every vehicle goes through a 200-point inspection performed by our ASE-certified technicians. We replace what needs replacing, document what we did, and the inspection report is included with every listing.

Are there add-on fees at the contract table?

No. The advertised price is the out-the-door price excluding only state-mandated tax and registration. We do not add doc fees, prep fees, addendums, or anything else.

Can I really return the car?

Yes. You have 7 days or 500 miles, whichever comes first. Return it for any reason — fit, color, second thoughts — and we will refund the full purchase price. The promise is in writing on every contract.

Do you mark up financing?

We finance through partner credit unions and banks at the same rates they would give you directly. We earn a small flat fee from the lender — never a marked-up interest rate. You will see the structure on the contract.

How does the trade-in process work?

Bring it in or upload pictures and the VIN online. We will give you a real offer based on current auction values, not a lowball anchor. The trade offer is good for 7 days, and you do not have to buy a car from us to sell us yours.

Do you sell warranties or service contracts?

Yes. We carry extended service contracts, GAP, and tire/wheel coverage from third-party providers. We mark them up far less than typical dealers, and they are optional — never bundled into the price quietly.
